This shot of Davey Havok, frontman of AFI, was taken during their performance at the FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA, on September 30, 2018. Standing directly atop the crowd, Davey was completely connected with the audience, capturing the raw energy and emotion that defines their live sets. Securing this frame locked in a stark visual moment, documenting the direct interaction between the band and the floor.

AFI has always been a group that resists easy categorization; they have carved out a unique space evolving from their early hardcore punk roots into gothic, alternative, and emo influences. That night, touring alongside Rise Against and Anti-Flag, they brought a focused intensity to the stage and delivered a seamless set.
