This shot of Tim Armstrong was taken during Rancid’s set at the Musink Tattoo Festival on March 20, 2015, at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, CA.

I caught this moment as Tim leaned into his guitar with “DIRTY” scrawled across it. The stage lighting carved out his silhouette, highlighting his performance. Watching him perform live, surrounded by a crowd singing every word, felt like a reminder of why live music still matters.

As a foundational figure in punk rock history, Tim Armstrong’s influence spans decades of influential projects, including his work with Operation Ivy, Transplants, and Bad Optix, alongside fronting Rancid. This print captures a definitive moment in his ongoing live performance legacy.
