I captured this stunning photo of Mike Ness at Surf City Blitz on October 28, 2018. Held at Huntington State Beach, California, Surf City Blitz 2018 was a vibrant and high-energy festival that brought together a dynamic mix of punk rock and rock 'n' roll. The festival drew a crowd of 40,000 fans who enjoyed performances from top bands in the genre.
Social Distortion’s performance was one of the highlights of the festival. Mike Ness delivered an unforgettable set, showcasing his powerful vocals and guitar skills. The band's setlist included iconic songs like "Story of My Life" and "Ball and Chain," energizing the audience and creating an electrifying atmosphere.
I was honored to take part in an art gallery at the festival, where I had 30 of my photos on display. Being a huge fan of Social Distortion, capturing this moment was a proud achievement for me. The festival also featured performances from a stellar lineup of bands: The Offspring, Pennywise, Suicidal Tendencies, Fear, TSOL, Mad Caddies, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Sharp Shock, Lost in Atlantis, Social Distortion, Rancid, Bad Religion, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Interrupters, The Wrecks, Aaron Lee Tasjan, 2nd Rate Kings.
